Accessibility statement

We want this site to be usable by everyone, including people who navigate by keyboard, use a screen reader, need larger text, or prefer reduced motion.

Our target

We build to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That is a target we design and test against, not a certification. Where we know we fall short, we say so below rather than claiming conformance.

What we have implemented

• A skip link to the main content on every page.
• Full keyboard operation, including the interactive brain map and the diagnostic.
• Visible focus indicators with a 3px outline and offset on every interactive element.
• Semantic HTML with a single H1 per page and a correct heading order.
• Text alternatives for the brain visualisations, describing their structure and meaning rather than every decorative node.
• A permanent, conventional list of every brain region and industry, so no information exists only inside a visualisation.
• Form labels, required-field marking, inline errors and a focusable error summary.
• Support for prefers-reduced-motion: animations resolve immediately to their finished state rather than being frozen part-way.
• Touch targets of at least 44px in height on interactive controls.
• No flashing content and no information conveyed by colour alone.

What we have not yet verified

• Testing with JAWS and Dragon has not been carried out. Testing to date has been keyboard, zoom and automated checks, plus manual review against the WCAG 2.2 AA criteria.
• An independent accessibility audit has not yet been commissioned.
• Some long content pages have not been reviewed at 400% zoom on small viewports.
